The 3M RelyX Temp NE Temporary Restorative - Non-Eugenol is a non-eugenol, zinc oxide temporary cement designed for reliable provisional cementation in various dental applications. This material is indicated for the temporary cementation of provisional crowns, bridges, and other restorations. It is also suitable for the provisional cementation of permanent restorations and the cementation of crowns and bridges onto implant abutments.

Crafted with a eugenol-free formulation, 3M RelyX Temp NE ensures universal applicability by not inhibiting the polymerization of composite resin cements, making it compatible with a wide range of restorative materials. Its extremely low film thickness contributes to an optimal fit for restorations, while offering strong adhesion for high retention to the tooth. Despite its strong retention, the cement allows for easy removal of temporary restorations, minimizing the need for time-consuming cleaning of the preparation as the majority of the cement remains on the temporary rather than the tooth structure.

Preparation: Clean and dry the prepared tooth and the internal surface of the provisional restoration. Ensure that all surfaces are free of contaminants, such as saliva and blood. Mixing: Dispense equal amounts of base and catalyst paste onto a mixing pad. Mix thoroughly using a spatula until a homogeneous consistency is achieved, typically within the recommended mixing time. Application: Apply a thin, even layer of the mixed cement to the internal surface of the provisional restoration. Ensure complete coverage of the bonding surface for optimal adhesion. Seating the Restoration: Carefully seat the provisional restoration onto the prepared tooth. Apply gentle pressure to ensure proper seating and adaptation. Setting Time: Allow the cement to set according to the recommended setting time. Avoid disturbing the restoration during this period. Excess Cement Removal: Once the cement has set, remove any excess material using appropriate dental instruments. Ensure the margins are clean and free of residual cement to prevent irritation and ensure proper fit. Final Check: Check the occlusion to ensure the restoration is properly seated and there are no high spots. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure patient comfort.
