What's in the Box

2 x Base 120mL

The 3M Impregnum Light Body Refill Elastomeric Impression Material is a polyether impression material meticulously designed for complex dental cases, particularly in challenging moist environments. It is indicated for applications such as crown and bridge impressions, inlay/onlay impressions, implant impressions, and functional impressions.

This light-bodied consistency material is ideal for the one-step/two viscosity impression technique, ensuring precise impressions for extensive restorations and multiple-unit cases. Its remarkable moisture tolerance allows it to displace blood and saliva upon contact with tissue, guaranteeing excellent detail reproduction and void-free impressions from the initial contact.

The material provides an extended working time of 3:15 minutes, allowing practitioners ample time to create accurate impressions. Critically, the material only begins to set after this generous working period, with a setting time of 6:30 minutes, minimizing errors and ensuring distortion-free results.

Preparation: Begin by ensuring your workspace is clean and well-organized. Gather all the necessary equipment and materials, including impression trays, mixing tips, and the Impregum Soft material in the desired consistency (light-bodied, medium-bodied, or heavy-bodied). Mixing: Attach the appropriate mixing tip to the cartridge containing the Impregum Soft material. Load the cartridge into a compatible dispensing gun Tray Selection: Choose the appropriate impression tray size and type based on the specific dental procedure and patient needs. Ensure the tray is clean and dry. Loading the Tray: Dispense the mixed Impregum Soft material directly into the impression tray. Be careful to avoid any air bubbles during this process. Patient Preparation: Prepare the patient for the impression procedure, ensuring their mouth is clean and dry. You may need to use a dental dam or other isolation techniques to control moisture and saliva. Impression Taking: Seat the loaded impression tray into the patient's mouth, making sure it covers the target area accurately. Instruct the patient to bite down gently but firmly to achieve the desired impression. Setting Time: Allow the Impregum Soft material to set according to the manufacturer's recommended setting time, which can vary depending on the formulation. Ensure the patient remains still and comfortable during this period. Removal: Once the material has set, carefully remove the impression tray from the patient's mouth. Be gentle to avoid distortion. Inspection: Examine the impression for quality and detail. Ensure there are no voids, tears, or other imperfections that may compromise the accuracy of the impression. Cleaning: Clean and disinfect the impression as needed, following standard infection control protocols.
