Xoricef 1.5gm Injection

Xoricef 1.5gm Injection is a potent, sterile, semisynthetic, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic formulated for parenteral administration. Each vial contains Cefuroxime Sodium equivalent to 1500mg of Cefuroxime. As a second-generation cephalosporin, it exerts its bactericidal action by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it effective against a wide array of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, including many beta-lactamase-producing strains.

This pharmaceutical agent is clinically indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections affecting critical systems such as the respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis), urinary tract, skin and soft tissues (e.g., cellulitis, wound infections), bones and joints (e.g., osteomyelitis), and in cases of septicaemia and meningitis. It is also a valuable prophylactic measure against post-operative infections in a range of surgical procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, orthopaedic, and cardiac surgeries.
