The Volk Classic Bio Lens 40D (V40LC) is a diagnostic ophthalmic lens engineered for comprehensive eye fundus examinations and the therapy of intraocular abnormalities. This lens is specifically designed for low magnification scanning out to the far-peripheral retina, providing the widest field of view available in the Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscopy (BIO) lens range. It is particularly well-suited for quick screening and dilation-free BIO examinations of peripheral retinal health, making it an excellent choice for small pupils and pediatric patients, including infants with retinopathy of prematurity.

Constructed with patented double aspheric glass optics and high-quality glass materials, the Volk Classic Bio Lens 40D (V40LC) ensures enhanced imaging quality and clarity. The lens also incorporates a proprietary anti-reflective (A/R) coating to optimize visualization during examinations. In addition to indirect ophthalmoscopy, this versatile lens can be utilized with a slit lamp biomicroscope to deliver ultra-high magnification views of the disc and macula.
