Voco Admira Fusion is a universal nanohybrid ORMOCER restorative material, distinguished as the first purely ceramic-based direct universal restorative material. It employs Pure Silicate Technology, where both the fillers and the resin matrix are exclusively based on silicon oxide, and is formulated without classic monomers, thereby enhancing its biocompatibility. This material is comprehensively indicated for a wide array of direct restorations, encompassing Class I to V cavities, core build-ups, reconstruction of traumatically damaged anteriors, facetting of discolored anteriors, and extended fissure sealing, making it suitable for both anterior and posterior applications.
As a light-curing material, Admira Fusion is applied in layers with a maximum thickness of 2 mm, then adapted and light-cured. It provides an ample working time of over three minutes under natural light, facilitating precise sculpting. Curing times are dependent on the shade and light output, with most shades requiring 20 seconds when using an LED/halogen light with a minimum output of 500 mW/cm², while opaque shades necessitate 40 seconds. The material demonstrates an exceptionally low polymerization shrinkage of 1.25 % by volume and minimal shrinkage stress, which contributes to superior marginal integrity and color stability.
Admira Fusion is classified as a medical device under the US Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act regulations and adheres to DIN EN ISO 4049 for EU medical devices, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. Its unique formulation results in excellent biocompatibility and high resistance to discoloration. Furthermore, it is compatible with all conventional bonding agents.
