Shofu Hy-Bond Zinc Phosphate Cement is a traditional luting agent designed for reliable dental applications. It is specifically indicated for the cementation of cast restorations and orthodontic appliances. This cement incorporates a patented HY-Agent additive, which contains tannin-fluoride, to mitigate the harshness of phosphoric acid, allowing for safe application over freshly cut dentin without causing pulpal irritation.

Composed of zinc phosphate and magnesium oxide in the powder, and phosphoric acid, aluminum hydroxide, and distilled water in the liquid, this cement is engineered to seal dentinal tubules and minimize post-operative sensitivity. It offers high compressive strength of 98 MPa and a low film thickness of 25 µm, contributing to precise seating of prostheses. The cement is also radiopaque, ensuring clear visibility on radiographs for accurate diagnostic evaluation.

Shofu Hy-Bond Zinc Phosphate Cement exhibits minimized solubility to oral fluids, which supports the long-term durability and integrity of cemented restorations.
