• Common side effects include low blood pressure (hypotension), nausea, vomiting, slow heart rate, fever, anemia, paresthesia (numbness or tingling), headache, itching, back pain, dizziness, and difficulty in passing urine. These are usually mild and temporary.
• Serious or rare side effects can include allergic reactions (skin rash, hives, swelling of the face/lips/tongue/throat, difficulty breathing), seizures, weak or shallow breathing, fast or irregular heartbeat, confusion, problems with speech or vision, ringing in the ears, metallic taste, tremors, and cardiac arrest. Report any persistent or severe side effects to your doctor immediately.
