The Recombigen RF Turbilatex 50 ml is a quantitative immunoturbidimetric assay designed to measure Rheumatoid Factor (RF) levels in human serum or plasma. RF is an autoantibody directed against the Fc portion of IgG and is commonly associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other autoimmune disorders. This test utilizes latex particles coated with human IgG; when RF is present in the sample, it binds to these coated particles, causing agglutination. The resulting change in absorbance is proportional to the RF concentration and can be quantified by comparison to a calibrator of known concentration.
