Recombigen Phosphorus is a single-reagent system used for the quantitative determination of inorganic phosphorus in serum, plasma, or urine. The assay is based on the UV-End Point method, where inorganic phosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate under acidic conditions to form a phosphomolybdate complex. This complex absorbs UV light, and the absorbance is directly proportional to the phosphorus concentration.
