  • Ranitidine Hydrochloride IP 150 mg (active ingredient, equivalent to 150 mg Ranitidine).
  • Inactive ingredients may include microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and film coating components such as polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide, glycerol monostearate, sodium lauryl sulphate, and iron oxide yellow.

Dosage and Administration

  1. Take Raniji 150mg Tablet by mouth with water, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.
  2. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on your specific medical condition and response. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed.
  3. For conditions like active duodenal ulcer, the typical adult oral dosage is 150 mg twice daily. For maintenance therapy, 150 mg once daily at bedtime may be prescribed.
  4. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully for proper use.

 

Storage and Disposal

  • Store Raniji 150mg Tablet at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) in a dry place.
  • Protect the tablets from moisture, excessive heat, and direct light.
  • Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Precautions and Safety

  • Heartburn symptoms can sometimes mimic early signs of a heart attack; seek emergency medical help if you experience chest pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder, anxiety, or light-headedness.
  • Consult your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or porphyria before taking this medicine.
  • Ranitidine can interact with other medications, including certain antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole), HIV medications (e.g., atazanavir), and some diabetes medications (e.g., glipizide). Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Ranitidine, as it may increase the risk of stomach damage.
  • Do not take this medication for more than 14 days in a row without consulting your doctor.

 

Side Effects and Risks

  • Common side effects may include headache, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
  • Serious side effects are rare but require immediate medical attention. These include blurred vision, mental/mood changes (e.g., agitation, confusion, hallucinations), easy bruising or bleeding, severe tiredness, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, signs of infection (e.g., persistent sore throat, fever), severe abdominal pain, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice).
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, itching, swelling of the face/tongue/throat, or difficulty breathing, also require immediate medical help.
