Pregna Contraceptive Device - Pregna+

The Pregna Contraceptive Device - Pregna+ is an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) designed for long-term, reversible contraception in women of childbearing age. This device offers almost complete protection against pregnancy and is effective for a period of up to 10 years. It provides a reliable method for family planning, with fertility fully restored upon removal.

Constructed with a polyethylene T-frame, the device features copper wire wound on its vertical arm and copper sleeves on each horizontal arm, providing a total copper surface area of approximately 380 mm². A monofilament suture, made from HDPE or Nylon 66, is tied at the bottom of the vertical arm to facilitate checking and removal. The contraceptive action is primarily achieved through foreign body reactions within the uterine endometrium and the continuous release of metallic copper, which inhibits sperm movement and fertilization.

Designed for simple and safe insertion and removal, the Pregna+ T Cu 380A IUD comes with a pre-loaded solid rod to streamline the insertion process. The device is packed in individual sterile pouches to ensure aseptic conditions prior to use.
