Brand Medilytic Biomedicals
The MediLytic Biomedicals RF Latex – Pack of 50 Test (RBC077) is a rapid diagnostic test kit designed for the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of Rheumatoid Factor (RF) in human serum. This kit, provided in a convenient "Pack of 50 Test", is crucial for aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders, where RF is commonly associated.
This diagnostic kit operates on the principle of the latex agglutination method. It utilizes latex particles coated with human gamma globulin, which react with rheumatoid factors present in the test specimen to form visible clumps, indicating a positive result. The RF latex reagent sensitivity is adjusted to detect a minimum of 8 IU/mL of rheumatoid factors, standardized with the World Health Organization RF Standard. This product is intended for in vitro diagnostic use.
For optimal performance and longevity, the MediLytic Biomedicals RF Latex kit should be stored refrigerated at 2 – 8 °C. It is critical not to freeze the reagents, as this could compromise the functionality of the test. All human blood components used in the controls have been tested and found negative for Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), HCV, and HIV (1/2) antibodies by FDA-approved procedures; however, controls should be handled as potentially infectious. The product is CE marked, indicating conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards.
