The SLK 5600 employs automated technology for lens measurement, significantly reducing manual intervention and ensuring consistency in results. It is capable of assessing various types of lenses, including single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. The device also measures UV transmittance and pupillary distance (PD). Utilizing an ISO standard green LED measuring beam of 545 nm wavelength, it detects lens power precisely without compensating for the ABBE value. The advanced Hartmann sensor, with cluster points through the nose piece, provides faster measurement with accuracy and repeatability, particularly for progressive lenses.
