What's in the Box
25 x 1ml Phosphorus Reagent, 1 x 2ml Phosphorus Standard(5mg/dl)
The Labcare Phosphorous Test, under the Accucare brand, is designed for the quantitative determination of phosphorus levels in biological samples, including serum, plasma, and urine. Phosphorus is a vital mineral essential for tissue bone formation and overall cellular function, playing a pivotal role in energy metabolism. Accurate measurement of phosphorus is crucial for evaluating phosphorus metabolism and calcium/phosphorus balance, aiding in the diagnosis of deficiencies or abnormalities.
This test utilizes a photometric UV method with endpoint determination, specifically the UV Molybdate method. The principle involves inorganic phosphate reacting with molybdic acid in an acidic environment to form an unreduced phosphomolybdic acid complex, which absorbs light at 340 nm. The absorbance measured is directly proportional to the phosphorus concentration in the sample, providing reliable results for in vitro diagnostic use.
The kit is supplied with 25 vials, each containing 1ml of solution, providing ample resources for multiple analyses. All reagents are ready to use and are stable until their expiry date when stored at the recommended temperature of 2-8°C.
