Ketojohn 200mg Tablet contains Ketoconazole 200mg, an antifungal medicine used to treat various serious systemic fungal infections.

Uses and Indications

• Candidiasis, including chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, oral thrush, and candiduria.
• Blastomycosis.
• Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever).
• Histoplasmosis.
• Chromomycosis.
• Paracoccidioidomycosis.
• Severe recalcitrant cutaneous dermatophyte infections in patients who have not responded to topical therapy or oral griseofulvin, or who are unable to take griseofulvin.

The Ketojohn 200mg Tablet contains:

• Ketoconazole IP 200 mg (active ingredient).
• Excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and povidone.

Dosage and Administration

1. Adults: The usual starting dose is 200 mg once daily. Your doctor may increase the dose to 400 mg once daily if the clinical response is insufficient.
2. Administration: Take the tablet orally with food to maximize absorption.
3. Concomitant Medications: If you are taking antacids, administer them at least 1 to 2 hours after taking Ketojohn 200mg Tablet.
4. Duration: Continue treatment until the active fungal infection has subsided; this may require several months of therapy.

Storage and Disposal

• Store at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), protected from light and moisture. Keep from freezing.
