This assay serves as an aid in the recognition and diagnosis of acute infections and chronic infectious carriers of the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), facilitating early screening.
This one-step immunoassay operates on the antigen capture, or “sandwich” principle, utilizing monoclonal antibodies conjugated to colloidal gold and polyclonal antibodies immobilized on a nitrocellulose strip. The test is provided in a pack of 100, suitable for various healthcare settings.
The J. Mitra Hepacard HBsAg Rapid Test is approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for use in blood banks. It has been evaluated by the World Health Organization (WHO) with 100% sensitivity. The kit is designed for storage at temperatures between 2°C and 30°C.
