Efficient Silica Coating Removal:The cleaning paste efficiently removes the silica-based protective coating applied during the manufacturing process. This step is crucial for enhancing the bond strength of resin cements to the restoration surface.
Universal Application:Ivoclean's universal applicability makes it suitable for various ceramic materials, including glass ceramics and oxide ceramics. This versatility allows practitioners to streamline their processes with a single cleaning solution.
Simple and Time-Saving Procedure:The application of Ivoclean involves a straightforward and time-saving procedure. This simplicity contributes to the efficiency of ceramic restoration workflows, minimizing chairside time while maximizing treatment effectiveness.
Benefits:
Improved Bond Strength:By effectively removing contaminants and silica coatings, Ivoclean significantly improves the bond strength of resin cements to ceramic surfaces. This is essential for ensuring the longevity and stability of restorations.
Enhanced Aesthetics:Ivoclean's thorough cleaning promotes the aesthetic excellence of ceramic restorations. A clean surface allows for better translucency and color stability, contributing to the natural and lifelike appearance of the final restoration.
Time Efficiency in Chairside Procedures:The simplicity and efficiency of Ivoclean's application contribute to time savings in chairside procedures. This is particularly valuable in a busy clinical setting, allowing practitioners to optimize their workflow.
Versatility for Different Ceramics:The universal applicability of Ivoclean ensures that it can be seamlessly integrated into workflows involving various ceramic materials. This versatility adds convenience and flexibility to dental procedures.
Type: Universal cleaning paste for ceramic & restorative surfaces
Composition: Dispersion of metal oxide particles in water
Indication: Extraoral cleaning after try-in contamination
Compatibility: Suitable for ceramics, zirconia, metals, and composites
Function: Removes saliva proteins & contaminants to improve bond strength
Application time: ~20 seconds, followed by rinsing and drying
Preparation:
Before use, ensure to shake the Ivoclean bottle for proper mixing.
Cleaning Protocol:
Regardless of prior conditioning, follow these steps to clean the bonding surfaces:
After the intraoral try-in, thoroughly rinse the restoration with a water spray and then dry it using oil-free air to achieve complete dryness.
Apply Ivoclean to the entire bonding surface of the restoration using a micro brush or brush.
Allow Ivoclean to act for 20 seconds, providing ample time for effective cleaning.
Rinse the restoration thoroughly with a water spray to remove Ivoclean and contaminants.
Once again, dry the bonding surface with oil-free air to prepare it for the next steps.
Priming:
Following the cleaning process, prime the bonding surface of the restoration with a suitable bonding agent (e.g., Monobond Plus). Always adhere to the instructions provided for both the bonding agent and the luting material being used.
Measures After Use:
Prevent contamination of the cleaned restoration with saliva or blood at all costs. If contamination occurs, the entire restoration treatment must be repeated.
For surfaces that were previously silanized and primed, reapply the bonding agent after the cleaning process.
