Ivoclar Vivadent Helioseal Clear Pit & Fissure Sealant - 1x1.25g

Ivoclar Vivadent Helioseal Clear is a light-curing, transparent fissure sealant designed for the preventive sealing of pits, fissures, and foramina caeca. This resin-based material is formulated to provide effective protection against caries by sealing off retention niches where bacteria can thrive and by creating smooth surfaces that are easy to clean.

The sealant's composition primarily includes Bis-GMA and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, with additional stabilizers and catalysts. Helioseal Clear features a low viscosity, which ensures optimal aesthetic results and facilitates easy monitoring of fissures. The transparent shade allows clinicians to readily identify any changes beneath the sealant during recall appointments. Notably, Ivoclar Vivadent products, including Helioseal Clear, do not contain bis-DMA, and studies have shown no detectable BPA release from Helioseal or Helioseal F.

Helioseal Clear is classified as a medical device under EU Directive 93/42/EEC and has been reviewed under US and Canadian regulations. It complies with ISO 6874 Type 2 and ANSI/ADA Specification No. 39 Type 2, and has received acceptance from the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs for its effectiveness in sealing pits and fissures.

Preparation: Ensure tooth surfaces are clean and dry.
Application: Dispense the sealant directly onto pits and fissures using the provided syringe.
Precise Placement: Use the fine cannula for accurate application, avoiding overfilling and ensuring even coverage.
Light Curing: Cure the sealant with a suitable polymerization light (e.g., Bluephase Style or Bluephase G4) following manufacturer’s recommended time and technique.
Evaluation: Confirm that the sealant is fully cured and forms a tight seal on the tooth surface.
Post-Treatment Care: Advise the patient on proper oral hygiene and aftercare instructions.
