Ivoclar Vivadent Fluor Protector Fluoride Varnish, supplied in an Ampoule 25x1ml, is a protective fluoride varnish designed for comprehensive enamel fluoride treatment. It provides superior protection against dental caries and erosion, making it suitable for patients of all ages. This varnish is indicated for the treatment of hypersensitive cervicals, improvement of enamel resistance against acid, long-term caries prophylaxis, and the management of sensitivity following tooth whitening procedures.

The formulation of Fluor Protector S contains 1.5% ammonium fluoride in a varnish base with ethanol and water as solvents, delivering a fluoride content equivalent to 7700 ppm in solution. Other care ingredients include potassium fluoride, calcium glycerophosphate, panthenol, and xylitol, which contribute to protecting teeth against acid attacks and inhibiting cariogenic bacteria. The varnish features a low viscosity, ensuring excellent flow and wetting properties for optimal coverage, and forms a protective calcium fluoride coating upon application. It presents a translucent, colorless to light yellow appearance and maintains a neutral pH. Biocompatibility testing and evaluation have been carried out in accordance with ISO 10993, showing favorable biocompatibility.

This fluoride varnish offers a quick drying time upon application, minimizing patient discomfort and allowing for efficient integration into routine dental visits. Its smooth and homogeneous consistency facilitates even application on tooth surfaces, ensuring optimal fluoride coverage and a comfortable patient experience.

Tooth Preparation:
Clean and dry the tooth surface. Ensure proper isolation.
Application:

Drying:
Allow the varnish to set (quick-setting on contact with saliva).
Post-Application Instructions:
Advise the patient to avoid eating hard foods and brushing for a few hours.
