Ivoclar Vivadent Cention Forte Capsules are a special restorative material designed for direct dental restorations. This self-curing filling material, which also offers an optional light-curing capability, belongs to the innovative Alkasite material group. It is indicated for the direct restorative treatment of anterior and posterior teeth, including the restoration of occlusal surfaces and as a volume replacement material for Class I, II, and V cavities in both permanent and deciduous teeth.

Cention Forte is formulated to release bioactive fluoride, calcium, and hydroxide ions, which can help prevent demineralization and support the remineralization of tooth structure. This material significantly differs from traditional glass ionomer cements, offering high flexural strength for durable, long-lasting restorations in stress-bearing posterior regions.

The material is supplied in capsules, each containing 0.3g, specifically designed for use with capsule mixers to ensure consistent preparation. The application process involves an initial working time of 2 minutes from the start of mixing, followed by a setting time of 6 minutes and 30 seconds. For optimal performance, Cention Forte is used in conjunction with Cention Primer, a self-etching and self-curing primer developed to create an ideal bonding surface.
