Harvard Zinc Polycarboxylate Cement - 40ml Liquid

Harvard Zinc Polycarboxylate Cement, supplied as a 40ml Liquid, is a dental cement formulated for a range of clinical applications, including the permanent luting of crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and supraconstructions on implants. This material also serves effectively as a liner for various filling types and for temporary fillings in posterior teeth.

The cement's zinc polycarboxylate formulation is recognized for its good adhesion to tooth structure, establishing chemical bonds with both enamel and dentin. It is designed to be less irritating to the pulp compared to zinc phosphate cement, offering enhanced biocompatibility and suitability for sensitive teeth.

Application involves a hand-mix method, combining the powder and the 40ml Liquid component on a cool, dry glass slab. The mixing process should be completed rapidly, typically within 30-40 seconds. This cement provides a working time of approximately 60-90 seconds for cementation at room temperature, with a clinical setting time in the mouth of about 5-7 minutes.
