Sterilization: Ensure the instrument is properly cleaned and sterilized before the procedure according to standard autoclave protocols.

Placement: After administering local anesthesia, gently insert the blade tip into the periodontal ligament space between the tooth/root and the surrounding alveolar bone.

Engagement: Advance the tip carefully along the ligament space to obtain a secure purchase between the tooth/root surface and bone.

Elevation: Apply controlled rotational or levering movements to gradually loosen the tooth or root from the socket. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to surrounding structures.

Removal: Once adequate mobility is achieved, remove the tooth or root using appropriate extraction forceps.

Post-Procedure Care: Inspect the socket for remaining fragments and ensure hemostasis. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize the instrument after use.
