The ASF Vergence Facility Prism Flipper is a specialized diagnostic tool designed for assessing vergence facility in ophthalmology. This manual device features a 12D Base-Out (BO) range and a 3D Base-In (BI) range, incorporating 6PD and 1.5PD prisms, respectively. It is engineered to evaluate the fusional vergence system's ability to rapidly and accurately adapt to changing vergence demands over time.

Primarily utilized as a binocular screening device, the Vergence Facility Prism Flipper supports low vision therapy and aids in the diagnosis of various binocular vision disorders and symptoms. The test is typically performed at a distance of 40 cm with a 20/30 target, enabling clinicians to identify patients with binocular vision problems and assess conditions such as convergence insufficiency, divergence insufficiency, heterophoria, and fusional vergence dysfunction.
