The ASF Hand Held Slit Lamp Two Step Portable is a binocular portable slit lamp engineered for comprehensive ophthalmic examinations. This instrument is suitable for use in both dark rooms and common rooms, offering versatility across various clinical settings. Its portable design makes it a practical option for bedside examinations, pediatric patients, remote screenings, and mobile clinics.

Equipped with a high-light white LED illumination bulb, the slit lamp provides clear visualization of ocular structures. It features two magnification options, 10X and 16X, achieved by exchanging the eyepieces. The device includes an objective of 1X and offers a dioptre adjustment of 10 mm. Illumination can be tilted horizontally up to +30 degrees Celsius, and the system incorporates multiple filters including Absorption, Cobalt Blue, Red Free, Green, and a Conversion Filter for Color Temperature. The Cobalt Blue filter is particularly useful with fluorescein for assessing the tear film and corneal lesions, while the Red Free filter aids in observing retinal nerve fiber layer defects.

This diagnostic equipment is intended for the examination of the anterior eye segment, from the corneal epithelium to the posterior capsule, assisting in the diagnosis of diseases or trauma affecting these structures. It facilitates the qualitative and quantitative analysis of parameters such as corneal endothelial cell count, corneal thickness, anterior chamber cells and flare, depth of anterior chamber, pupil size, and cataract grading. The slit lamp can also be utilized for the identification of pathology in the lids, lashes, conjunctiva, cornea, anterior chamber, iris, and lens, and can assist in ocular foreign body removal.
