Rheumatoid factors are a group of antibodies directed against determinants in the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G (IgG) molecules, with elevated levels commonly associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

This kit serves as a valuable aid in the diagnosis and ongoing monitoring of rheumatoid arthritis. The underlying principle involves latex particles coated with human gammaglobulin, which agglutinate when mixed with samples containing RF, resulting in a quantifiable change in absorbance.
