Ammdent Cito Cid Citric Acid EDTA is a sophisticated chelating agent, meticulously formulated to enhance the efficiency of root canal procedures. This advanced solution combines the properties of citric acid and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) to offer dentists a versatile and effective tool for optimal chelation during endodontic treatments.

This chelating agent is designed for chemical root canal dilatation and aids in the location of canal entrances. It demineralizes and softens hard dental substance, effectively removing the smear layer on the canal wall, thereby opening and widening the dentine tubules. The solution also facilitates the dissolution and removal of calcium hydroxide residues from the canal. Furthermore, Cito Cid provides enhanced lubrication during instrumentation, minimizing friction and aiding in the shaping of the root canal.

The formulation maintains an optimal pH balance, preventing undue aggression to dentin while maximizing its chelating efficacy, which is crucial for preserving dentin integrity. As a mild, slightly antibacterial, and biocompatible chelating agent, it forms a stable chelate complex with calcium ions in the dentine. This action enhances the sealing of root canal walls before obturation by improving the adaptation of the root canal sealer.
