The Abbott SD Bioline HIV/Syphilis Duo Rapid Card is a solid phase immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative and simultaneous detection of antibodies to HIV-1/2 and Treponema pallidum (TP). This diagnostic solution offers comprehensive screening for two critical infectious diseases with a single testing process. It detects antibodies of all isotypes (IgG, IgM, and IgA) specific to HIV-1/2 and Treponema pallidum.
This test is suitable for use with human serum, plasma, or whole blood specimens, including finger-stick whole blood. It is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use, serving as an optimal screening tool for HIV and syphilis, particularly in antenatal care programs aimed at eliminating mother-to-child transmission (EMTCT).
