The Abbott Alere Fully Automated Cell Counter (h 380) is a hematology analyzer engineered for routine Complete Blood Count (CBC) testing, offering a three-part white blood cell (WBC) differential. It employs the volumetric impedance method for accurate cell counting and light absorbance for hemoglobin measurement. This system provides 22 parameters, including WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, PLT, and differential subsets (LYM, MID, GRA), complemented by three histograms.

This fully automated analyzer is designed to process whole blood samples, requiring a micro-sampling volume of 25 µL for whole blood or 50 µL for pre-dilute samples. It delivers a high throughput of up to 80 samples per hour, optimizing laboratory productivity and workflow efficiency.
