The 3M Espe Sof-Lex Diamond Spirals Composite Finishing & Polishing Instruments are advanced rotary instruments meticulously engineered for achieving a superior, high-gloss finish on a variety of dental restorations. This two-step, multi-use polishing system leverages innovative abrasive technology to streamline the finishing and polishing workflow in dental practices.
These spirals are constructed with either aluminum oxide or diamond particles, which are impregnated into a thermoplastic elastomer, providing both effective abrasion and flexibility. Their universal and flexible spiral design allows them to adapt to all tooth surfaces, including anterior and posterior, as well as convex and concave contours, enabling efficient polishing from any angle. The system is designed for use with a slow-speed handpiece, operating within a recommended range of 15,000–20,000 rpm for optimal results.
The Sof-Lex Diamond Spirals are indicated for smoothing and final high-gloss polishing of a broad spectrum of direct and indirect dental restorations. This includes composite restorations, resin-modified glass ionomers, bisacrylic temporary materials, 3M Lava Ultimate CAD/CAM Restorative, and precious and semi-precious metals. Supplied non-sterile, these instruments are multi-use and can be sterilized and reused, offering an economical solution for dental professionals.
