The pediatric side can be converted to a traditional open bell by replacing the single-piece diaphragm with a non-chill rim. The Black Tube Stem incorporates dual-lumen tubing, which combines two sound paths in one tube, effectively eliminating the rubbing noise of traditional double tubes.
