What's in the Box

1 x 4gm Syringe

The 3M Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Packable Composite Resin is a visible, light-activated restorative composite engineered for efficient posterior dental restorations. This material allows for one-step bulk placement up to 5mm, eliminating the need for incremental layering and an additional capping layer.

This composite resin incorporates TRUE nanofiller technology and innovative methacrylate monomers, which work in combination to lower polymerization stress while maintaining wear resistance. The formulation includes AUDMA, UDMA, and 1,12-dodecane-DMA monomers, alongside a robust nanofiller system comprising silica, zirconia, and ytterbium trifluoride.

The "Refill Syringe A2" is indicated for a wide range of applications, including direct anterior and posterior restorations (encompassing occlusal surfaces), as well as serving as a base or liner under direct restorations. Its versatility extends to core build-ups, splinting, indirect restorations such as inlays, onlays, and veneers, and the repair of defects in porcelain restorations, enamel, and temporaries.

Key Features :

Composed of a visible, light-activated packable composite resin, formulated with AUDMA, UDMA, and 1,12-dodecane-DMA monomers, and a nanofiller system of silica, zirconia, and ytterbium trifluoride.
Designed for one-step bulk placement in posterior restorations up to 5mm, eliminating the need for incremental layering and a capping layer.
Indicated for a broad range of applications including direct anterior and posterior restorations, core build-ups, splinting, and repairs of various dental structures.
Delivered in a "Refill Syringe" for direct and easy application.
Offers excellent adaptation and sculptability for efficient cavity preparation.
Achieves a depth of cure up to 5mm, ensuring thorough polymerization even in deeper cavities.
Formulated with innovative monomers to minimize polymerization shrinkage stress, contributing to reduced microleakage and postoperative sensitivity.
Requires a cure time of 40 seconds for the "A2" shade when using a light intensity of at least 550 mW/cm2.

Preparation: Begin by preparing the tooth for the restoration following standard dental procedures. Ensure the tooth surface is clean and free from debris. Dispensing: Using the provided syringe, dispense an appropriate amount of 3M™ Filtek™ Bulk Fill Composite onto the tooth surface. This composite allows for one-step bulk placement. Placement: Apply the composite in one bulk fill increment of up to 5 mm thickness. Ensure even and thorough coverage over the prepared area. Light Curing: Use a dental curing light to polymerize the composite. Apply the light for 10 seconds in key areas: occlusal, buccal, and lingual. Polishing: After curing, you may choose to polish the restoration for optimal aesthetics and smoothness. The Filtek Bulk Fill Composite is known for its fast and easy polishability. Evaluation: Check the restoration for proper adaptation and occlusal alignment. Make any necessary adjustments as per standard dental practice. Finalization: Complete any final steps as required by your specific clinical procedure.
