The Green Initiative
As a medical technology company that manufactures plastics, J.K. Diagnostics has risen to this challenge, and during the comprehensive ecology project “The Green Initiative”, has directed all company processes towards this aim. The manufacturing of J.K. Diagnostics products takes place in consideration of ecological aspects. All J.K. products are delivered in non-bleached outer cartons. The cartons consist of 100% recycled material. Our blood collection tubes are provided in plastic racks of 100 pieces each. These racks are manufactured from polystyrene sheets, which is recycled material too.
Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes
A vacuum blood collection tube, also known as a Vacutainer, is a sterile, sealed tube used to collect blood samples from patients. It consists of a plastic or glass tube with a stopper at one end and a needle attached to the other end. The stopper typically contains a vacuum that helps draw a specific volume of blood into the tube when the needle punctures the patient’s vein. These tubes are available in various sizes and colors, each indicating a specific additive or purpose. The color-coded stoppers are standardized to ensure the correct tube is used for the intended tests.

Non-Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes
Vacuum blood collection tubes contain a vacuum that helps to draw the blood into the tube, while non-vacuum blood collection tubes rely on the natural flow of blood into the tube. Non-vacuum tubes are often used for smaller volumes of blood and for tests that do not require a precise volume. Non-vacuum blood collection are used for the test such as blood sugar, sugar tolerance, erythrocyte electrophoresis,anti-alkali hemoglobin and lactate.
