Step 1 – Initial Scouting:
Use #10 and #15 hand files with a viscous chelator to scout the coronal two-thirds of the canal and establish a smooth glide path.
Step 2 – Coronal Shaping:
Introduce the S1 file in the presence of NaOCl and allow it to passively follow the glide path. Use a light brushing motion away from the furcation.
Step 3 – Progressive Shaping:
Use S1 and then S2 to enlarge the canal until the depth reached by the #15 hand file.
Step 4 – Apical Preparation:
Scout the apical third with #10 and #15 hand files and establish working length using an apex locator or radiograph.
Step 5 – Final Shaping:
Use S1 and S2 to working length with a brushing motion, followed by F1 in a non-brushing motion to working length.
Step 6 – Apical Gauging:
Check the apical size with a #20 hand file. If loose, continue shaping with F2 or F3 as required.
Step 7 – Coronal Refinement (Optional):
Use the SX file with a brushing motion to improve coronal shaping if required.
