Preparation
Ensure the tooth surface is clean, dry, and free of debris.
Isolate the treatment area using a rubber dam or other isolation method, if necessary.
Prepare the brackets and archwire for bonding.
Dispensing the Adhesive:
Remove the cap from the Transbond XT Adhesive Syringe.
Extrude a small amount of adhesive onto a mixing pad to ensure proper flow before applying to the brackets.
Bracket Application:
Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive to the base of the bracket using an applicator or suitable instrument.
Carefully position the bracket on the tooth surface.
Positioning and Curing:
Adjust the bracket to the desired position for optimal treatment.
Utilize the extended working time to ensure precise bracket placement.
Cure the adhesive using a suitable light-curing device according to manufacturer guidelines. Ensure proper curing time for the specific light source being used.
Immediate Bond Strength:
Once cured, the adhesive provides immediate bond strength, allowing for archwire tie-in without delay.
Clean-Up:
Wipe off any excess adhesive with a suitable instrument or applicator.
Use a dental curing light to polymerize and harden any remaining adhesive for easy removal.
Post-Bonding Instructions:
Provide appropriate post-bonding care instructions to the patient, including oral hygiene practices and any restrictions on certain foods or activities.
Storage:
Replace the cap on the syringe immediately after use to prevent contamination
