The 3M RelyX Ultimate Refill Resin Luting Cement in 'Translucent' shade is an advanced adhesive resin cement designed for a comprehensive range of indirect restorative applications. This dual-cure system, when used in conjunction with 3M Scotchbond Universal Adhesive, provides high bond strength for various dental materials.

This resin luting cement is indicated for the final cementation of all-ceramic, resin nano ceramic, composite, and metal restorations, including inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, Maryland bridges, veneers, and posts. It is particularly well-suited for CAD/CAM and glass ceramic restorations, offering a permanent dental cement solution.

The automix syringe delivery system simplifies the mixing and dispensing process, contributing to an efficient clinical workflow. Its dual-cure capability provides flexibility, allowing for both light-curing and self-curing, with a working time of 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Preparation: Begin by preparing the tooth or restoration according to standard dental procedures. Ensure that the tooth surface is clean, free of debris, and appropriately shaped for the restoration. Isolation: Isolate the treatment area to maintain a dry and contamination-free environment. This typically involves using rubber dam isolation or other suitable techniques. Cavity/Restoration Etching: If using a total etch technique, apply a suitable dental etchant to the enamel and/or dentin surfaces to create microretentive areas for bonding. Follow the recommended etching time specified in the product instructions. Rinse and Dry: Rinse off the etchant thoroughly and gently air-dry the tooth or restoration. Ensure that the surface remains visibly moist but free of excess moisture. Apply Adhesive: Dispense the 3M ESPE RelyX Ultimate Adhesive Resin Cement as instructed by the product packaging. This often involves using an automix syringe and a designated mixing tip. Placement: Apply the adhesive resin cement to the prepared tooth or restoration, ensuring complete and even coverage. Follow the specific instructions for the type of restoration you are bonding (e.g., ceramic, composite, metal). Seat the Restoration: Carefully position the restoration onto the prepared tooth, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Apply gentle pressure to facilitate seating. Cure the Cement: If required, light-cure the adhesive resin cement according to the product's instructions. Ensure that the restoration receives adequate exposure to the curing light for complete polymerization. Excess Removal: After curing, remove any excess cement that may have seeped out from the restoration margins. This can be done using suitable dental instruments.
