Therefore, the system is energy efficient. Hence, the use of negative pressure and gravitational force are the key aspects of purification of proteins utilized in the system. The flow rate controllers used in the system are simple, cost effective (generally used to control flow rate of I.V. drip set) and work without any requirement of electrical energy, therefore, are energy efficient. The system involves standard silicon tubing that can sustain temperatures from 4°C to 25°C. Requirement of regular silicon tubing makes the system cost-effective and easy to assemble.
